Dear Members and Guests,
Our Port Wine Appreciation event will take place at 18.30 on Thursday 9th February at the Centro Cultural de Cascais, Av. Rei Humberto II de Italia, Cascais.
The presentation and tasting will be free for members. Non-members will pay 10.00 Euros per person but this will be waived for anyone who joins the Club on the day.
The presentation will be followed by a dinner, with a very special menu, based on Port wine and accompanied by a selection of fine table and Port wines. The price is a very reasonable 25.00 Euros per person and this is an event not to be missed!
The presentation will comprise:
Douro region and Porto wine (small video presentation)
The House of Sandeman (small video presentation)
Tasting (5 wines from Sandeman range)
Q&A
Members will have the opportunity to buy Sandeman port bottles at special prices. Before dinner there will also be time to visit the exhibition at the Centro Cultural de Cascais (www.fundacaodomluis.com)
At the dinner there will be an opportunity to speak to George Sandeman on the Sandeman Port Wine “method and business”.
Menu:
- Cream of cauliflower soup with sautéed scallops and truffles in Sandeman Port with Sandeman Apitiv
- Confit of Duck with Sandeman Ruby Port with Atlas Quintas Colheita red wine from the Alentejo
- Chocolate cake and wild berries in Sandeman Founders Reserve Port with Sandeman Vau Vintage 2000
- Coffee or tea with Sandeman Tawny 20 Years
